Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:
As Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible to receive and respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, or other communication channels. Responsible for providing effective customer service to patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities. Position requires excellent telephone communication skills, and a high level of skill in entering data into the computer while talking with patients.
Job Responsibilities
• Answering phones to respond to all inquiries made by patients, vendors, insurance companies and other medical facilities. Must be able to handle hundreds of claims/tickets per day.
• Screening and routing patient calls to other departments efficiently, insuring accurate registration, appointment scheduling and follow-up appointment scheduling in database.
• Responding to patient’s questions and needs by editing, canceling or anything necessary according to the protocols.
• Creating testing orders for patients and faxing or mailing as per patient request.
• Faxing medical records to facilities authorized to receive patient information.
• Maintains a good working relationship and effective communication both within the department and with other departments for the benefit of the patient.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
• College Undergraduate or Graduate of any healthcare related courses or 3 years equivalent experience related to Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry
• Prior experience as a Healthcare Representative or equivalent, ideally within a similar setting.
• Computer literate with an above-average typing speed.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough, with excellent listening skills.
• Ability to calm irate, anxious, or grieving customers.
• Capacity to navigate stressful situations with ease.
• Available to work shifts, which may include work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
